That's right one should start thinking to sow seed and set out transplants. Start plants early enough to make sure your plants will survive the summer heat. In our are you should plant seedlings and transplants even if we haven't seen the last frost. Just take care to cover young plantlets for protection from extreme elements. Now is the time to start with tomatoes, beans, corn cucumber, and squash should be sown when soil is in the 60 degree F range.
Indoors start seeds of heat loving crops such as eggplant, pepper. and melons.
Don't forget to prep the soil with a goodly layer of compost prior to planting.
